Since 2001, the Digital Bible Society has leveraged emerging technologies to ensure that God’s Word is readily accessible and easily shareable where it is most needed.

Making Scripture Accessible:

The Digital Bible Society gathers, prepares, and distributes biblical resources in the languages of the world. Using a wide variety of formats and applications, we seek to ensure resources are available for a broad range of uses.

Empowering Widespread Multiplication:

The Digital Bible Society equips Christian workers with Bible resources that can be freely shared and multiplied. We seek to serve mission endeavors by connecting missionaries with donors to accelerate strategic Bible resource distribution.

Inspiring through Innovation & Research:

The Digital Bible Society leverages emerging technologies to create cost-effective solutions that supply Christian workers with relevant content, tools, and information—ensuring that God’s Word is in the hands of His servants and those they serve.

Vision

Scripture teaches that as time moves swiftly toward the end of this age, the Gospel will spread to all the world, technology will advance, and souls will be gathered into the Kingdom of God. It seems we are living in those very days.

Scripture also foretells that as we near the end times, the earth will experience increasing troubles. Evil men and deceivers will grow more corrupt, and the powers of darkness will intensify their efforts to obscure the truth from the masses.

No sphere highlights these conflicts more than the landscape of emerging technologies. While Satan uses the digital revolution to infiltrate the minds of both young and old, God is simultaneously advancing the Gospel of His Kingdom in unprecedented ways through technology. The worlds of communication, translation, and publishing have been radically transformed. With the emergence of AI, the pace of change will only accelerate, as new technologies address linguistic and logistical challenges that have long hindered discipleship, evangelism, and church planting in closed-access countries. We anticipate that within the next two decades, the Bible will be translated, recorded, filmed, and available (though not necessarily accessible) in every living language across the globe.

However, some things remain unchangeable. Foremost is the God-breathed, deep-seated longing in the human heart to know God and His eternal truth. Secondly, there is the God-ordained mandate for Christians to “Go into all the world, proclaim the Gospel, and make disciples.” While technology can facilitate this mission, it can never replace the human heart’s desire to know God, nor can it substitute for our profound need for deep, personal relationships.

The people of the world are in need of what technology can never provide. There can never be a replacement for the presence of the living God, His truth in the heart, and a people filled with His love and Spirit. With this in mind, the Digital Bible Society has served the body of Christ for over two decades by supporting the efforts of disciple-makers, evangelists, and church planters. We are committed to equipping God’s servants with free and shareable biblical resources (in text, audio, video, and print), as well as cost-effective devices in thousands of languages. By God’s grace, and with your help, we will continue to seek ways to equip God’s workers with the most relevant tools needed to serve those in their care.
