    Bibles (Bible Cloud)

Bible Cloud The Bible Cloud, is the Bible resource center of The Digital Bible Society, where you can find, read, and download thousands of biblical resources in many languages.

The Bible Cloud serves to insure that Christian Workers worldwide are sufficiently equipped to secure and share the Gospel in every language on earth.

Our mission, simply stated, is 'making God's Word accessible in every language', we, therefore, focus on making digital Bibles available in the widest range of formats possible. We also go to great lengths to ensure that Bibles are available for download and sharing from here and from the Find-A-Bible website.

    ePUB Bibles:

ePUB is a terrific way to read and share Bibles, but it requires a device that is already programmed to reads them or a special browser plug-in like a Mozilla Firefox add-on 'ePub Reader'. Short for electronic publication, ePub is the most widely supported, free e-book format, with popular readers like Barnes and Noble's Nook, Apple iOS powered devices such as the iPad and iPhone, the Sony Reader and other readers that support the standard.

    MOBI Bibles:

MOBI is a file format quite similar to ePub that was purchased by Amazon; it allows you to read Bibles with a Kindle device. The Mobipocket e-book format is based on the Open eBook standard using XHTML and can include JavaScript and frames. It also supports native SQL queries to be used with embedded databases. A corresponding e-book reader is also available.

    Mobile Bibles:

Our mobile Bibles are pure HTML docs which are web ready and contain hyper-linked text pages in their most basic form.  They are usable on most devices that exist today - including feature phones.  The Bibles can be downloaded as stand-alone "ZIP Files" and can be copied onto media such as a micro SD chip for use in an SD enabled phone. They can also be used on any computer and, from there, posted online.

    PDF (Print) Bibles:

The Portable Document Format (PDF) is used to present and exchange documents reliably, independent of software, hardware, or operating system. PDFs can contain links and buttons, audio and video, and are used on most every computer operating system - including hand-held and portable devices such as projectors. PDF files can easily provide a chapter, book or entire Bible and are especially helpful when using non-Roman fonts, as fonts can be directly embedded inside the file.

    inScript Bibles:

inScript format Bibles are compatible with inScript 4.0 the Bible-study tool created by the Digital Bible Society for both online and offline use. The software is open-source, browser-based, multi-lingual, and free-to-use. inScript requires no software installation and supports a wide variety of web-browsers and media platforms: thumb drives, DVDs, micro SD chips, etc.

    SWORD Bibles:

SWORD modules are created to be used by the Crosswire SWORD Application Programming Interface (API) - sometimes referred to as the SWORD engine. The SWORD project, created by the Crosswire Bible Society is free and open software that is certainly worthy of consideration when using and sharing Bibles.
